Abstract
The article discusses the main stages and content of educational programs of the Department of Museology of the RSUH. The combination of theoretical, historical and practical components is the basis for training future specialists in the field of studying and preserving of cultural heritage. This approach goes back to the classical training programs for museum specialists, but also allows us to consider current problems at the level of modern scientific knowledge and practices.
