Abstract

The present investigation challenges both the frontiers of knowledge and the contents that comprise the transdisciplinary field of criminological research, thus proposing a diagnosis of the current state of art of criminal sciences. By entering the debate of post-modern criminology, it confronts this perspective with cultural criminology and other critical criminologies, mainly marginal realism, with the objective of testing new ways of interpreting the complex phenomena of violence, crime and deviance in contemporaneity.
