Abstract
Este artigo é resultado da transcrição de conferência proferida na Sala Paulo Freire (MAE/USP), visando apresentar reflexões sobre a cultura imaterial e seus processos simbólicos desde um ponto de vista da hermenêutica simbólica envolvendo uma noção mais dinâmica e processual de cultura pautada sobre a criação, a transmissão, a apropriação e a interpretação dos bens simbólicos e suas relações. Assim, a jornada interpretativa – diferentemente da técnica interpretativa de caráter mais instrumental – nos remete ao diálogo mais profundo com a noção de ancestralidade.
