Abstract

Objective To explore the cultivation of self-direct ability based on the vision of excellent nursing program. Methods Totally 107 nursing students from one vocational health college were divided into a control group (n=59) and an experimental group (n=46) by convenient sampling method. Students in the control group were majorly given traditional classroom teaching, while students in the experimental group were given excellent nursing program. Theory and practical test and the evaluation of self-direct ability between groups were compared. Results There was no statistical difference in the test score of theory (P>0.05) , but the comprehensive skills score in the experimental group was better than that of the control group (P 0.05) . Conclusions Based on the platform of excellent nursing program, students centered teaching can promote knowledge internalization and skills transfer, and is benefit for the cultivation of students self-learning ability.
