Abstract
This is a simple and convenient method for coupling tertiary aliphatic amines with terminal acetylenes into the corresponding propargyl amines, which are useful intermediates in the modern organic synthesis and interesting molecules for biological studies. The reaction is performed selectively on the methyl group of tertiary amines according to a very simple procedure. The reaction represents also a promising approach to design new synthetic methods, basing on C-H activation.
