Abstract
The crystal structure of the ternary compounds Li 11V 3Sn 4 and ∼LiV 2Sn has been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction. The Li 11V 3Sn 4 compound is a superstructure of the Li 13Sn 5 binary compound, space group P 3m1, a =0.47082(1) nm, c=1.71004(2) nm. The ∼LiV 2Sn compound has a BiF 3 structure type, space group Fm 3m, a =0.621292(1) nm.
