Abstract

Our book, Cuba: Anatomy of a Revolution, was written after a three-week visit to Cuba in March, 1960. In the next few months, events moved with astonishing rapidity—both inside Cuba and in Cuba's relations with the outside world. How did these developments affect the Cuban Revolution? What changes have taken place in the Cuban economy and Cuban society? Are things going well or badly for the Cuban people? What is the outlook for the future? This article can also be found at the Monthly Review website, where most recent articles are published in full.Click here to purchase a PDF version of this article at the Monthly Review website.
