Abstract

We herein report the synthesis of a range of Cu-doped ZnS/zeolite composites and subsequent evaluation of their photocatalytic activities based on hydrogen production from an aqueous S2−/SO32− solution under UV–visible light irradiation (λ > 250 nm). We found that the hydrogen production rate over CuZnS/zeolite composites was significantly higher than over the bulk ZnS. The obtained photocatalysts were also characterized by X-ray diffraction and UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.
