Abstract

A novel Cu-containing magnetic ionic liquid-based nanoporous organosilica composite with yolk-shell structure [Fe3O4@RF@void@PMO(IL)/Cu] was synthesized through nonsacrificial self-template strategy. The Fe3O4@RF@void@PMO(IL)/Cu nanosphere was characterized by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) techniques. The Fe3O4@RF@void@PMO(IL)/Cu was used as a powerful, recoverable and reusable nanocatalyst in the Chan-Lum coupling at room temperature under aerobic conditions. The recovery test was performed to study the stability of catalytic sites under applied conditions.
