Abstract
Abstract A chemical C-terminal sequencing method of proteins, involving cyanogen bromide cleavage of proteins, selective isolation of the C-terminal peptide and the C-terminal successive degradation with heptafluorobutyric anhydride vapor is presented. FAB/MS analysis of the C-terminal truncated peptide mixture clearly indicated the C-terminal sequence of a protein.
