Abstract

The CT examinations described demonstrate the incidence of focal defects of cerebral substance corresponding to the aspect of a completed cerebral infarction. Progress of the disease over several years may induce a remarkable, mainly internal and cortical, cerebral atrophy, due to the vascular damage of the brain. That is why it is important to consider the possibility of a collagenous disease, particularly in the case of young patients, when a differential diagnosis is being made on the basis of such findings.
