Abstract
AbstractType Ibn supernovae (SNIbn) are a small group of core-collapse events whose ejecta interact with a He-rich and H-deprived circumstellar medium. The explosion of the prototype of this family, SN 2006jc, was heralded by a major stellar eruption two years before its core collapse. This unexpected discovery increased significantly the interest of the astronomical community toward these unusual events. A number of other objects have been included to the SNIbn zoo. In these contribution we review our current knowledge on this rare family of interacting, stripped-envelope supernovae (SE-SNe).
