Abstract

Compressed sensing (CS) is a promising technique to realize sub-Nyquist sampling ultra-wideband (UWB) receivers. In practice, the dynamically varying narrowband interference (NBI) may degrade the performance of UWB receivers badly. Thus, it is an important issue to detect and suppress the NBI precisely. In this paper, a CS-based NBI estimation algorithm is proposed and an improved generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) UWB receiver with NBI suppression is presented. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm estimates the NBI accurately and the improved GLRT UWB receiver outperfoms its rivals in terms of bit error rate (BER).
