Abstract

Thermolysis at 80 °C of reaction mixtures of CpTiMeCl2, thiol, and base results in C−S bond cleavage and the isolation of two new Ti−sulfide species (CpTi)4(μ3-S)3(μ2-S)(μ2-SEt)2 and (CpTi)6(μ3-S)4(μ3-O)4 (Cp = η-C5H5), both of which have been crystallographically characterized.
