We are pleased to announce the “Crystals Best Paper Award” for 2017. Nominations were chosen from all papers published in 2015 and 2016. The selection committee—which consisted of 36 members of the Editorial Board and the Editor in Chief—examined each paper and expressed their preferences, releasing the ranking of the “Crystals Best Paper Award” 2017.Following the review by the Editorial Board, the following top-voted research articles and review papers, in no particular order, have won a “Crystals Best Paper Award” for 2017. 1.
