Abstract

In response to a recent review of creep mechanisms in nickel-base oxide-dispersion-strengthened (ODS) alloys by Sellars and Petrovic-Luton, crystallographic and elastic moduli data are presented to document the degree of texture in several ODS alloys. The importance of texture to thermal fatigue resistance and threshold stress(es) for creep is noted.
