Abstract
The process of crystallization and speed of calcium carbonate precipitation in superimposition of electric and magnetic (magnetic and electric) fields was studied. The phenomenon of transformation of electrochemically formed calcite crystals into “bundle-like” crystals of aragonite under the influence of magnetic field was found. The magnetic treatment of hydrocarbonate solution following the electrochemical treatment was shown to result in reduction of quantity and increase in size of individual calcium carbonate crystals easily removable from the solution.
