Abstract

Conductivity measurements have been performed to study the kinetics of crystallization in the glassy Se 80− x Te 20In x system. Amorphous to crystalline (A-C) transformations are studied during isothermal annealing at various temperatures between the glass transition and melting temperature. Avrami's equation of isothermal transformation is used to calculate the activation energy of crystallization (Δ E) and the order parameter ( n). The values of Δ E thus calculated match well with the values reported for the same alloys using the nonisothermal DSC technique.
