Abstract

Crystals of the catalytic subunit of aspartate transcarbamylase have been obtained from 30 to 40% ammonium sulphate at pH 8. The crystals are tetragonal with space group P4 12 12 (or P4 32 12) and unit cell dimensions a = b = 82 A ̊ , c = 298 A ̊ , and contain one trimer per asymmetric unit. They diffract to about 3.5 Å.
