Abstract

An x-ray diffraction study was made of the crystalline fine structure of electrolytically deposited Fe-Ni and Fe-Co-Ni alloys. Studies were made of the magnetic properties, microstructure, microhardness, and the amount of gas evolved from the deposit during aging. Conclusions are reached regarding the relationship of the mechanical and magnetic properties to the structure and chemical properties of the alloys.
