Abstract
1. The conformation and geometrical parameters of the methyl ester of trans-7-dimethylamino-2-carbomethoxyheptatrienecarboxylic acid have been determined. 2. Self-consistent MO LCAO calculations in the CNDO/2 approximation have shown that the double bonds of the triene system are equivalent.
