Abstract
The real structure of NiCr fine particles was examined by means of electron microscopy. The possibility of a structural transformation from the A15 to the σ-phase structure is suggested by the following facts; the existence of twin-related crystals and the sequence fault in the σ-phase particles and the {100} planar defect in the A15 particle. The transformation mechanism is proposed.
