Abstract

One of the simplest structural and “low”-Tc cuprates, T∗-type cuprates, SmLa1-xSrxCuO4-δ(SLSCO,Tc(max)∼32K) and Nd1.6-ySr0.4CeyCuO4(NSCCO,Tc(max)∼25K), can be a key material to considerate the mechanism for high-Tc cuprate superconductor. Contrary to SLSCO whose as-grown sample does not show superconductivity at all, due to heavy deficiency of apical oxygen, NSCCO shows superconductivity even in as-grown crystal. We grew some compositions of wide range of Ce concentration and carefully investigated the change of Tc and show that NSCCO becomes sufficient bulk superconductivity, even without an extreme oxygen annealing.
