Abstract

AbstractThe parameters of the spin‐Hamiltonian of Gd3+ in TeO2 single crystals are determined and the ESR spectra of polycrystalline TeO2:Gd3+ samples are compared with those of Gd3+ ions on Te sites in amorphous TeO2‐V2O5 compounds. It turns out that the microenvironment of the tellurium ion in the amorphous samples is similar to that in crystalline TeO2. Further ESR signals of Fe3+ ions in amorphous TeO2‐V2O5 are discussed.
