Abstract
The articular deposition of MSU, CPPD, and HA crystals may result in a variety of clinical symptoms, radiographic signs, and pathologic abnormalities. The diagnosis of these disorders often rests on clinical examination findings or an analysis of aspirated joint crystals. Radiography often demonstrates characteristic changes in these disorders and may delineate the extent of articular and periarticular disease.
