Abstract

The phase equilibria in the AgGaSe 2 GeSe 2 quasi-binary system were studied using differential thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction. It was established that the given section is quasi-binary in the Ag 2Se Ga 2Se 2 GeSe 2 ternary system and contains three regions of solid solutions. The crystal chemistry properties of phases of variable composition were studied. The structure of these phases depends directly on the tetrahedral cavity filling by silver ions. A method for obtaining single crystals from the region of γ-solid solutions was worked out. The orientation of the obtained single crystals was determined by X-ray diffraction.
