Abstract

1. The crystal and molecular structures of bis(o-carboranyl)dimethylgermane were deciphered. 2. An unusual increase was observed in the valence angle formed by the bonds of the central atom with the electron-acceptor substituents [112.6(5)°], which is caused by the large bulk of the substituents.
