Abstract

The crystal structure and molecular stereochemistry of dimeric π-1,1,3,3-tetramethylallylpalladium chloride complex, [Me4C3HPdCl]2, have been determined from three-dimensional data. The unit cell is triclinic, space group P with one molecule of the dimer per unit cell. The two palladium atoms are joined by coplanar chlorine bridges, the allyl groups being symmetrically bonded to the palladium atoms. The tetramethylallyl ligand is non-planar.
