Cryptothecia stockeri (Arthoniales, Arthoniaceae), a new corticolous lichen species from the Seychelles. — Herzogia 29: 97–102.A new corticolous representative of the lichenized ascomycete genus Cryptothecia is described from the Seychelles Islands. Distinguishing characters are the small ascospores, the brownish dotted surface of the ascigerous areas and the occurrence of psoromic acid. The ecology of the new species is discussed and an identification key to all Cryptothecia species currently known from the Seychelles Islands is provided.
