Abstract

Introduction HIV infection remains the main underlying disease for meningeal cryptococcosis. Other diseases may be associated to this infection such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Case report We report a case of cryptococcal meningitis in a 46-year-old man treated for malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and considered on remission for three years.Treatment with amphotericin B failed and the patient died. Conclusion The poor prognosis of cryptococcal meningitis in patients with malignancies such as lymphoma requires early diagnosis to improve prognosis.
