Abstract

Construction works related to large cities, engineering projects and communication systems in loess regions influence and charge natural conditions in the loess. This results in collapse, settlement and other deformations of terrains, geodetic benchmarks and engineering constructions. On this background, the paper examines crustal movements and expedient schemes of geodetic networks, methods, fundamental and control benchmarks and the character of deformations at construction sites on the basis of concrete examples.
