Abstract

Brassinosteroids (BRs) are the steroidal plant hormones that play crucial roles in both plant growth and progressions. In recent years advancements done in accessibility of biological possessions and approaches led to the better understanding of the various processes involved in BRs biosynthesis, transport, signaling and degradation pathways. The current researches are also associated to the flexible roles of BRs. From the previous studies it was evident that BRs interrelate with other phytohormones such as auxin, gibberellin, ethylene, cytokinin, abscisic acid, jasmonic acid, salicylic acid and polyamine in regulating various physiological and developmental processes in plants. In this section an effort is made to understand elusive development and growth directly or indirectly linked to BR homeostasis, signaling and its crosstalk with other phytohormones. This information will support emerging extrapolative representations to moderate various useful traits in plants and address current encounters in agriculture.
