Abstract
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is an allergic skin disease mediated by skin barrier dysfunction and an IL-13-driven immune response. The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is a sensor molecule that is activated by numerus environmental ligands, some of which have shown promise in clinical trials of AD. Therefore, we hypothesized that the AHR pathway can attenuate IL-13-induced responses.
