Abstract

A study on the insertion phase delay (IPD) characteristics of frequency selective surface (FSS) in the solid half-wavelength wall was carried out. An emphasis was laid on cross polarization, and the depolarization effect at different polarization angles and incidence angles was studied. The result shows that to maintain consistency of the resonant frequency in two principal polarizations (TE & TM) is the solution to solve the problem of cross polarization of band-pass FSS structure, which therefore reduces the IPD difference between the two TE and TM polarization.
