Abstract

With increase in the operation of remote servers there is a need to efficiently facilitate the distant availability and operation of applications in IoT. These applications could be used in workplace, education as well as in time-critical systems to run on the remote server from a client system. This paper proposes a cross-platform model that achieves remote desktop operation by using IP tunneling. The proposed Flask model is set up between wireless systems in a client-server architecture with asynchronous updates using Ajax. Python libraries PIL and pyautogui are used to simulate the client side actions on the server over a HTTP connection. The competency of the proposed model is ascertained by resource utilisation, scalability and time optimisation with results analyzed for local and remote hosting on various platforms.
