Abstract

This paper discusses the reuse and redesign of waste jeans through the analysis of the connection between contemporary popular street culture and classical art. The article believes that it is valuable to use the above mentioned phenomenon and the lessons which can be learnt from the artistic approach of reusing waste jeans. Meanwhile, now that the government has advocated the development of a creative industry, it is high time to seek more ways in which recycling and reusing, based on artistic expression has not only social value but economic value as well.
