Abstract

Abstract A double hydrophobic elastin-like block polypeptide having crosslinkable amino groups at both termini has been constructed for the first time. Upon an increase in temperature, the block polypeptide assembles into beaded nanofibers in water. The noncrosslinked nanofibers partially dissociate at lower temperatures, while their crosslinked counterparts retain their beaded fiber morphology.
