Abstract
In order to implement the cross-eye jamming system (CEJS) with effective cross-eye gain, it is necessary to minimize the phase-difference and amplitude ratio for CEJS. Thus, it is necessary to control to remove the phase and gain errors caused by AM/AM (amplitude modulation / amplitude modulation), AM/PM (amplitude modulation / phase modulation), and PM/AM (phase modulation / amplitude modulation), generated in devices and system. In this paper, we proposed a method to maintain the phase-difference and amplitude ratio of CEJS within a certain range by the phase and gain control for these errors. The phase and gain errors of CEJS were canceled by a variable phase shifter and a variable attenuator. The simulation results show that a CEJS with effective cross-eye gain was implemented by gain and phase control using a variable attenuator and a variable phase shifter.
