Abstract
Product energy and angular distributions have been measured for the exoergic reaction O − + C 3H 4 (allene) → OH − + C 3H 3 over the relative energy range 4.6–10.8 eV (6.5–15.3 eV lab). The reaction mechanism is found to be direct and well-approximated by the spectator-stripping model. We see no evidence of carbanions being produced in this energy region.
