Abstract
Cross-correlation measurements between the pump, signal and idler pulses of a high repetition rate, femtosecond optical parametric oscillator are presented. In all cases the cross-correlation widths are within 10% of the autocorrelation widths. The results show that in an experiment, the achievable time resolution would be limited primarily by the pulse durations rather than the timing jitter between the pulse sequences.
