Abstract
In this paper, a new cross-correlation Green's function (CGF) is formulated, considering the mutual interaction between electric and magnetic source current distributions. This additional CGF is essential for complete analysis of envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) for “hybrid” MIMO antenna systems that contain both dipoles (electric current source) and slots / patches (magnetic current source). Preliminary numerical analysis on the ECC of a system containing two infinitesimal dipoles (one electric and one magnetic) is carried out.
