Abstract
Abstract This chapter details the key concepts surrounding cross-border insolvency law. It explains the relevant codifications and the underlying principles. The chapter discusses the issues revolving around insolvency proceedings with cross-border connotations, such as jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition, and administration of proceedings. It also highlights the importance of cooperation of official bodies and coordination of the procedures when dealing with cross-border insolvencies, while simultaneously referencing the rules found in numerous regulations, such as the European Insolvency Regulation and the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency.
