Abstract

The introduction of Zika virus (ZIKV) into the Americas sparked interest in the influence of heterologous antibodies on sequential ZIKV and dengue virus (DENV) infections. In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Fowler etal. (2018) demonstrate in mice that maternally acquired anti-ZIKV antibodies exacerbate disease following DENV challenge.
