Abstract
The boundaries between the performing arts, film, television and media advertising are today no longer clearly demarcated and fusions are evident in the emergence of mixed media: forms that interweave one medium with another. Practitioners in these art and entertainment forms are inevitably influenced by work in all of the media which, as a rich admixture, have generated a multiplicity of creative approaches. Techniques and styles, originally created to fit the craft in one medium, may be borrowed and used for another. My own directorial approach and skills have been shaped, strengthened and enriched by working for many years in the different media of film, television and theatre.
