Abstract

ABSTRACTAs the emphasis in law enforcement shifts to counter higher levels of drug-related criminal activity, police laboratories face an increasing demand for drug sample cross-matching. The objective of this technique is to determine analytical similarities between separately seized exhibits, thereby providing evidence for the existence of a common illicit source. The present study details a case in which numerous cocaine exhibits containing several adulterant drugs and diluents were chemically cross-matched.
