Abstract

In this study, a two-dimensional mixed convective MHD stagnation point flow of Carreau fluid past an infinite plate in a porous medium is studied. Effects of cross-diffusion, thermal radiation, heat generation, and chemical reaction are considered. The governing partial differential equations are remodelled into ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformation. The HAM is employed to solve the system of ordinary differential equations. Velocity, temperature and concentration are presented with several values of different physical parameters through the graph. It is depicted that, velocity profiles decrease via mixed convection and buoyancy force parameter for Newtonian Carreau fluid, whereas in non-Newtonian Carreau fluid those parameters have reverse effects on it. Thermal radiation and heat generation tend to improve heat transfer process. Magnetic field, mixed convection and buoyancy force parameter tend to improve velocity and concentration gradient, whereas thermal radiation and heat generation have reverse effects on it.
