Abstract

In space-borne remote sensing, the accuracy of radiometric calibration is a key issue for image quality and further data applications. According to the relationship between GF-4 visible and near-infrared (VNIR) sensor and CE-3 VNIS sensor, an applicable cross radiometric calibration method is proposed here based on the observation data of lunar. The cross calibration generates a set of radiometric calibration coefficients for GF-4 VNIR sensor. Two validation experiments are implemented to verify the authenticity and accuracy of cross calibration coefficients: the proposed approach shows a high consistency than previous coefficients by comparing the retrieved reflectance of three calibration sites on lunar, and gets the accuracy of 5.34 %, 3.42 %, 3.49 % and 5.96 % with blue, green, red and near infrared bands of GF-4 by ground-based experiments.
