Abstract

Esophageal involvement in Crohn’s disease is rare and there is only one other report of a case of Crohn’s disease complicated by an esophago-bronchial fistula. The diagnosis of esophageal involvement in Crohn’s disease is usually made after esophageal symptoms like dysphagia and odynophagia are present. In this case, the esophageal Crohn’s disease was presented as aspiration pneumonia due to esophago-bronchial fistula. A review of relevant material available in the literature is presented.
