Abstract

With reference to experience gained in Hong Kong, this article outlines some of the limitations of existing programmes for training teachers of engineering. It discusses the reasons for and possibility of including criticism-based learning as a topic in engineering teacher training programmes, and considers briefly why this type of learning has been left out of current training programmes.
