Abstract

Large-scale derivation of the possible induced transport in a presumed cylinder filled with solid-gouge and vacancies was conducted. The wavy transport which is of the second order is induced by a small-amplitude surface elastic wave propagating along the flexible interface by considering the weakly nonlinear coupling between the interfaces and the slip effect. The possible critical bounds obtained for zero-flux states corresponding to specific Navier-slip parameter and wave number might be relevant to the possible seismic reversal or disappearance of transport of solid-gouge.
